Flu Clinics will be held in a separate part of our office this year to avoid entering through our waiting room. When you arrive for your Flu Clinic appointment, please exit the elevator or stairs to the RIGHT. We have a separate entrance to our office where our staff will be available for check-in.

Please be aware a physician will not be available during Flu Clinic appointments. If you feel your child should see a physician prior to receiving the flu shot, call our office to schedule an appointment with your physician. Additional vaccines will not be offered during the Flu Clinic, please schedule a separate appointment if your child is due for vaccines other than the flu shot.

Masks are required at all times while in the building

Be sure to call our office for your child’s yearly routine well visit

School, camp and sports forms can be completed without an additional visit if your child has had a routine well visit withing the last year. Schedule your child’s routine well visit during the summer so come fall we can complete any forms needed for school and sports.

Actions we are taking to keep our patient, families and staff safe

Well/healthy visits are scheduled separately from sick visits.

Wearing Masks at All Times. Our staff will wear masks and we ask all patients and parents to wear masks keeping nose and mouth covered at all times.

Daily Office Cleaning. Our disinfecting protocols have been increased to ensure waiting rooms and office areas are extensively cleaned several times a day. Exam rooms and patient care areas are cleaned after every patient appointment.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) strongly supports the continued provision of health care for children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mid-Ohio Pediatrics encourages our patients to continue with the AAP guidelines for Preventive Health Care or Routine Well visits.

We are now scheduling ALL ages for Routine Well visits.  These well visits have been prioritized to Morning office hours to decrease possible exposure to illness.

Please contact our office between the hours of 8:30am – 12:00pm to schedule your child’s Routine Well visit.

Due to the Shelter at Home order and changes regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, our office hours are fluctuating on a daily basis. While the physicians at Mid-Ohio Pediatrics are available 24/7 for Urgent concerns our office may not be open during the posted normal office hours.  The phones will still come on at 8:30am Monday through Saturday but may shut off early depending on patient flow and to limit potential exposure.  Please try to call before noon with Non-Urgent concerns or questions.  Our On-Call Physician will still be available for Urgent Medical issues after the phones shut off for the day.

Effective Thursday 3/19/2020 MOP will Suspend our Walk-In hour until further notice.  We ask all our patients to call before coming to our office.

In an effort to continue to provide quality health care for our patients, we have decided to split our patient care days in half.  We will have Sick visits available for one half of the day and then Well children scheduled during the other half with a thorough cleaning of the office in-between.

We stand by the CDC recommendations of social distancing and therefore ask only one parent bring the child who is scheduled.  Please keep additional family members at home to protect your family and our staff.

Mid-Ohio Pediatric is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and the recommendations of the CDC and OHD.  We will continue to make adjustments to our patient care as new information and guidance is released.

  • If you are concerned your child has or was exposed to Coronavirus please call and discuss bringing your child in with a nurse or physician. DO NOT come to the office until given instructions to do so.
  • At this time we DO NOT have any Coronavirus tests at MOP. If there is strong suspicion requiring testing we will work with Nationwide Children’s and the ODH to direct you to the best place to seek testing.
  • We stand by the CDC recommendations of social distancing. In line with this we discourage bringing additional adults and children to appointments. Please bring your own toys and books for distraction.
  • We will try to put your child in a room as quickly as possible to avoid spending time with potentially sick people in our waiting room. If you would like to reschedule your non-vaccine well appointment we would be happy to accommodate your request.

In Memory of Dr. Frank Stroebel

Dr. Frank Stroebel, one of the founding members of Mid Ohio Pediatrics passed away on November 18, 2019. We have lost a respected member of the pediatric community, a valued mentor, and a dear friend.

Dr. Stroebel joined the staff of Children’s Hospital in 1964. His leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to the hospital helped it to grow into the outstanding health care institution it is today. In addition to being a wonderful clinician, he was known for his compassion, empathy, and sincere interest in all of his patients.

Dr. Stroebel joined the practice of Drs. Baldock and Kazsmersky in the late 1960s. He was the only one of the original three to move to our Copeland Mill location where he practiced until his retirement in 1997. After retirement, Dr. Stroebel continued to be active at Children’s. He and his wife Nancy also continued to be a part of the social activities of Mid Ohio Pediatrics. We were able to host Dr. Stroebel for a tour of our new offices this past summer

Dr. Stroebel is survived by his 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He will be missed by all of us who were lucky to know him. We extend our deepest condolences to his wonderful family, and feel very blessed to have had him as a part of our medical practice both as a senior partner and dear friend.
